Srinagar, Mar 19 (KNO): The government on Friday accorded sanction to the promotion of officers to various grades of the Indian Police Service (IPS).
An order under number 59-Home of 2021, dated 19-03-2021, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), at least 15 IPS officers have been promoted to various grades.
Mukesh Singh, IPS, M. K. Sinha, IPS, Sunil Kumar, IPS - on proforma basis and Danesh Rana, IPS officers of 1996 batch were promoted to the grade of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) in the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) – Level 15 of Pay Matrix, with effect from 01.01.2021.
“One post of the ADGP in the HAG – Level 15 of Pay Matrix is added temporarily in terms of proviso second below Rule 4 of IPS (Cadre) Rules, 1954,” the order reads.
Promotion of four IPS officers of 2007 batch including Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS - on proforma basis, Sujit Kumar, IPS, Vivek Gupta, IPS and Mohd. Suleman Choudhary IPS were promoted to the grade of Super Time Scale-(i)-DIG (Level-13A of the Pay Matrix) with effect from 01.01.2021.
Three officers including Tejinder Singh, IPS - on proforma basis, Abdul Jabbar, IPS and Udayabhaskar Billa, IPS of 2008 batch were promoted to the Selection Grade of IPS (Level 13 of the Pay Matrix) with effect from 01.01.2021.
Promotion of IPS officers of 2017 batch including Anayat Ali Choudhary, IPS, Mohita Sharma, IPS - subject to completion of "CSWT Indore attachment” component of training, Nikhil Borkar, IPS - subject to passing of the Swimming Test and receipt of final assessment report from SVP, NPA Hyderabad and Tanushree, IPS - subject to passing of the Swimming Test and receipt of final assessment report from SVP, NPA Hyderabad were promoted to the Senior Time Scale of IPS (Level-11 of the Pay Matrix)—(KNO)
